“Elections Roundtable: How can the youth shape the EU?” – event yesterday

by | Jun 13, 2024

The discussion about the 2024 European elections and the role of the youth began before the start of our fifth event, as arriving participants had already engaged in a conversation, and they continued to add their thoughts during the roundtable too, which made the event even more interesting. All in all, we are pleased with how our “Elections Roundtable: How can the youth shape the EU?” event turned out.

We tackled many topics from the rise of the far-right through changes in the turnout to the influence of Tik Tok and social media overall. We also discussed the rising popularity of Volt – with now five seats in the European Parliament! – prospects of federalism, mandatory voting and the importance of education.

Our team and guests: Ivett Letenovics (C4EP), Tamás Lattmann (C4EP), Laura Leger (C4EP), Carlo Giovanni Giudice (Volt Belgium), Nikolas Kockelmann (JEF Belgium)

We want to thank our great speakers, Carlo and Nikolas, but also our very interactive audience for being with us yesterday and staying with us after the event for a heated conversation with some wine, sharing your thoughts. We hope that You will join us in our next events as well! Additionally, we are grateful to Press Club Brussels for making sure that everything went smoothly. We will be back!

A detailed report on the event will follow, until then You can find some more photos on our social media pages:
