Leadarise – Youth Leadership in International Relations and Security – 28 February 2015

On the 28th of February 2015, Leadarise held an informal event about the role of youth and female leadership in the field of international relations and security. Benedek Csányi from the Centre for European Progression was among the invited speakers that night. The panelists had a fruitful discussion on the involvement of women in these fields and thanks to the pleasant environment and the friendly attendees an open dialogue started off.

One of the aims of this event was to talk about the challenges that young women face who are interested in these positions considered ‘manly’. This event was labelled as a #HeForShe discussion, a campaign initiated by the United Nations to promote gender equality.
